Why chickens? Why not? Turns out chickens were and still are a great example at showing what an vision model is good at understanding and predicting. Especially watercolor chickens- those that don’t have hard cartoon-like drawin edges.
In late 2024, early 2025, Runway, Minimax and other video generators weren’t that great at animating chickens. Nor at converting chickens to dinosaurs or vice versa.
The models have gotten much, much better. But it’s fun to see where they were and how unusual a chicken proved to be to predict! Notice the two heads in most of the videos below
